It cannot have escaped anyone’s notice that there is a shortage of talent among our political leaders. It Australia, we have fared well in relative terms, but only because the comparisons with the UK and US flatter us. When it comes to education, there is the additional problem of a lack of relevant knowledge and expertise. Why is this and does it matter?
