Now is a good time to take the opportunity to thank all of my paid subscribers.

It has been just over a year since I offered paid subscriptions to my Substack. As you can imagine, I don’t make vast sums from it, but it does provide at least a little justification for the amount of time I spend in the early hours of the morning, researching and writing these posts.
